Ex Machina, Côté Danse, Dvoretsky Productions and Show One Productions revive “The Tragedy of Hamlet: Prince of Denmark,” the groundbreaking wordless reimagining of Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy by visionary director Robert Lepage and renowned dancer/choreographer Guillaume Côté, celebrated for his long tenure as a Principal Dancer with The National Ballet of Canada. Former National Ballet of Canada principal dancer Sonia Rodriguez comes out of retirement to join the internationally acclaimed production as Queen Gertrude. Following a sold-out world premiere in Toronto and a global tour that included 43 performances across 15 cities in 5 countries, the ballet returns to Elgin Theatre April 24-26, 2026. Tickets start at $64 and are available on www.showoneproductions.ca or www.ticketmaster.ca.
A new original audiovisual installation experience curated by Buffalo-based artist collective Groupwork and part of the in.sight series, an ongoing investigation into technology-mediated expression and embodied systems of code, light, sound, and space. Aperture / Afterimage continues Groupwork’s ongoing exploration of shared experience, generative systems, and memory as a living process. Less a spectacle to be consumed than a condition to inhabit, Aperture / Afterimage leaves the audience slightly out of sync with ordinary time.
