And Curtain Up! may seem far away (Friday September 22, 2023) but, local theater companies including Buffalo United Artists, MusicalFare, Paul Robeson, Kavinoky, Alleyway, Second Generation + Ujima + Shea's 710, Bellissima Productions, and Road Less Traveled Productions all have shows opening between September 1 and September 14.

Canterbury Woods Performing Arts Center located at 705 Renaissance Dr. in Williamsville, NY, is WNY’s newest state-of-the-art theater. With 250 seats, Anthony reports it's quite wonderful and they have a very good piano there, as well! First Look Buffalo will be mounting productions there starting on October 6, 2023, with HELL-OWEEN: 10 short plays by local playwrights. Before then, however, First Look will hold a fundraiser cabaret called THE BARBIE GIRLS with Kaylie Horowitz, Susan King, Madison Sedlor, and Clara Tan with accompanist Claudia Andreas on the piano.
Road Trip! GYPSY, A Musical Fable, with Book by Arthur Laurents, Music by Jule Styne, and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim has been called "the perfect musical" by Anthony who will be leading a bus tour up to Niagara on the Lake Wednesday, September 27 leaving from the AAA parking lot in Amherst at 8:30 am and returning at 6:30.. LA CAGE AUX FOLLES BLURB: La Cage Aux Folles remains one of musical theatre's all-time biggest hits, adding a new dimension to the boulevard comedy.
