  • On this edition of WBFO at CES 2025, Dr. Glick sat down for a one-on-one interview with Brian Comiskey, the Senior Director of Innovation and Trends at The Consumer Technology Association. The two discussed the integration of AI, a land aircraft carrier electric vehicle concept, and the most impressive innovations they've seen from CES 2025.
  • The mantra here at CES this year is "Dive into CES 2025". If you do that, be a good swimmer and take a big breath because there's much to see.
  • Before I left for the Consumer Electronics Show, my WBFO producers asked me to think about what was the most exciting thing that I saw there. What were the attendees most excited about, and what was the vibe at the show? My first thoughts here are that nerds should rejoice, early adapters should pay attention to what's going on here at CES, and people's bank balances should be prepared to be lessened.
  • CES has earned a reputation as a proving ground for breakthrough technologies and global innovators and is widely recognized as one of the most influential tech events in the world. We discovered advancements in AI and robotics, environment and sustainability, metaverse and gaming, digital health, vehicle tech, advanced mobility, home entertainment and streaming, smart home and lifestyle, the creator economy, NFTs, and Web3. One area that captured our attention was improvements in antenna design which will make it easier for today’s chord cutters to pick up their favorite television signals.
  • Among the flashy, weird, and wonderful tech unveiled at CES 2023, WBFO got a glimpse of tech innovations from established big-named brands, at the world’s biggest consumer electronics show.
  • WBFO’s Nancy Hammond had a private tour of the LG booth, the largest display at CES 2023. From appliances to gaming monitors and TVs, the electronics giant has a versatile lineup of products on display in Las Vegas this year. The highlights of the LG booth are their television sets, in particular their 97” OLED wireless television. It is spectacular. OLED uses organic light-emitting diode technology and better picture quality than LED TVs. This massive 97-inch OLED M not only includes all of the high-end picture technology, but it also beams stuff wirelessly from your devices from a signal box that can be positioned up to 30 feet away. It runs on the traditional web operating system. The art app will allow you to display a Monet painting, or another artwork when you aren’t watching TV. It also has several interactive apps including an exercise app and a dance party app.
  • WBFO's Nacy Hammond sat down with Fred and Paul Jacobs from Jacobs Media to discuss the highlights and trends from CES 2023.
  • According to the United Nations, about one-third of food is wasted globally. CES working to solve different components of the problem, from helping the food industry limit what it throws away to offering rapid composting solutions to help keep food scraps out of methane-producing landfills. WBFO’s Tom Calderone visited an exhibit that focuses on balancing waste and consumption. With this year’s theme of sustainability, CES 2023 featured many advancements in cleantech, and solar generators were no exception. Jackery received CES 2023 Innovation Awards honors for portable solar technology products.
  • CES might be the biggest tech show of the year, but it’s every bit a car show too. This year the spotlight is on electric vehicles and car tech. WBFO’s Nancy Hammond interviewed Jefferey Adams, Vice President of Corporate Communications for the U.S. Postal Service, to learn about the new electric mail trucks that are scheduled to roll out in September. The new design will help handle the increase in packages that the postal service is experiencing.
