Buffalo Sabres increasing ticket prices

Buffalo Sabres

The Buffalo Sabres are restructuring their ticket policy for next season. Th restrucuring will include increasing prices by an average of 2.5%.

A letter detailing the changes was sent to season ticket holders Thursday.

The team confirmed to the Buffalo News that it is following the National Hockey League's standard analytical model, which examines level of demand, seniority of season ticket holders and team performance.

The Sabres are rescaling pricing at the arena from 15-30 price points to ensure that fans closer to the action pay more than those in the same section sitting farther away.

Some of the new price point sections will see a price decrease.
