Charles Gilbert

What's Next? Executive Producer

Charles Gilbert joined Buffalo Toronto Public Media NPR in November 2022. He earned his Bachelor’s in Media Production from SUNY Buffalo State University in 2022 and currently serves as the Executive Producer of WBFO’s flagship show, What’s Next?. In this role, he leads impactful programming that amplifies the voices of marginalized and underrepresented communities throughout Western New York and Southern Ontario.

Beyond his work in public media, Charles is a highly skilled podcast consultant, producer, and host, bringing compelling narratives to life through innovative audio storytelling. With a deep understanding of media production and audience engagement, he continues to shape meaningful conversations that inform, inspire, and drive change.
