Erie County Sheriff John Garcia’s office says a 29-year-old man is dead following an automobile crash in the Town of Elma late Saturday night.
According to the Sheriff’s report, deputies responded to the intersection of Clinton Street and Aurora Street at about 10:15 p.m. Deputies located a pickup truck which had crashed into a tree on the front lawn of 5595 Clinton Street. Witnesses on scene said the truck struck a utility pole before crashing into the tree.
The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was ejected from the pickup truck. Efforts to resuscitate the victim were unsuccessful and the person was pronounced dead at around 11 p.m.
The victim was identified only as a male from West Seneca. His name was not released.
