The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down during Monday evening's heavy rainstorms that passed through the region.
A storm survey determined that the tornado touched down near the Alexander Fire Department Recreation Hall in Genesee County at around 6:42 p.m., knocking over two trailers, uprooting several trees and causing roof damage to three area structures before lifting up near a cemetery on Railroad Avenue.

Maximum winds were estimated to be around 85 mph, with an approximate track length of three quarters of a mile.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning with a possible tornado was in effect from the National Weather Service at the time.
