For the next couple of days, crews from the cable television network C-SPAN will continue to be in Buffalo conducting interviews and shooting video as they prepare for a weekend full of programming in October that will spotlight the city.
Programs will include discussion of Buffalo's history and heritage, culture, even some of its redevelopment.
C-SPAN Cities Tour Coordinating Producer Debbie Lamb notes the channel is funded entirely by the cable television industry with no government support.
Lamb and her colleagues were formally welcomed to the city on Monday in City Hall, where Mayor Byron Brown and a multitude of local leaders were present.
The programs about Buffalo, which will run October 17 and 18, will have no commercials or other interruptions.
Lamb was in the WBFO studio on Tuesday afternoon to discuss what she and her crews are recording and when it will air.
