For the eighth consecutive year, Erie Community College has been honored among the top 100 two-year colleges in the country in awarding associate degrees. The honor comes from Community College Week’s 2016 edition of “100 Top Associate Degree Producers.”
The publication named ECC 67th in the nation for associate degrees in all disciplines, while the college was ranked 21st overall in Criminal Justice and Corrections and 31st in Communication and Journalism.
ECC President Jack Quinn said such annual national recognition is appreciated and helpful to ECC’s overall mission.
“ECC is honored to once again be ranked among the top community colleges in the country for awarding associate degrees,” said Quinn. “Year after year, this college is providing an affordable education for students who’d like to earn an associate degree, successfully transfer into four-year schools or take their training directly into the workforce. This service is a reward in and of itself, but to be recognized by a national publication for such service is certainly a sign that we’re doing something right.”
