BTPM Series Offers Free, Interactive Performances

Buffalo Toronto Public Media’s new performance program “Hear Us Out!” promotes awareness and appreciation of musical diversity through a series of free, interactive performance events exploring composers, performers and instruments from cultures across the Americas. The project is designed to serve youth ages 8-12 and their caregivers, but specifically targets children living in under-served communities within Buffalo and Erie County.

The “Hear Us Out!” series consists of six performance events throughout Fall 2023 and Spring 2024. Each performance includes an enlightening educational talk, a printed educational program, a dazzling performance, an open discussion, and a tour of BTPM.

“This is an opportunity to not only create a platform to elevate diverse musicians but also to allow a young, multicultural audience to experience music in an interactive hands-on environment,” said Kathryn Larsen, VP of Content Distribution.

The first journey into the world of music with “Hear Us Out!” is "Strings Spectacular" on Nov. 18 starring the dynamic Docenko duo, Ivan and Greg, who will unlock the secrets of two incredible musical marvels: the piano and the violin.

For an unforgettable experience, visit our Eventbrite Page to register. Free parking is available at the BTPM gated parking lot on Charles Street.

This program is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Services Inc.
