Buffalo, NY – The President and Vice President sat in Kittinger made chairs from Buffalo during Tuesday's Inauguration.

Kittinger received a letter last month asking the company to make two Presidential fireside chairs and a small wine table. The chairs match six chairs made by the company in 2005 used during the Bush Inauguration ceremony. Kittinger says it was very happy that Western New York had such a meaningful part in this Historical event.

The White House has had a more than 40-year relationship with the Buffalo furniture maker, starting with President Nixon.

More on the Kittinger chair: The Kittinger presidential fireside chair was originally produced for President Reagan to flank the Oval Office fireplace for photo opportunities with Head of State's from many countries far and near. The chairs are made of solid mahogany with Acanthus leaf carved on the Cabriole leg. The Blue leather on the chairs was chosen to match the six existing chairs used by President Bush. The utility/wine table is also made of mahogany and has a pullout shelf, tapered legs, and a silver tray for the top.
