Buffalo, NY – There's been some criticism of the major television networks this week for sending their top news anchors overseas to cover Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Critics say Republican John McCain has not received similar coverage during his foreign trips.
While John McCain's campaign has been roundly critical of what it sees as an imbalance in coverage, reporters in Buffalo who were jumping at the chance for some one-on-one face time with McCain were denied the opportunity during his brief stop here Monday.
Joining WBFO's Mark Scott to discuss some of the controversies surrounding the media and the presidential candidates is Lee Coppola, the dean of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at St. Bonaventure University.
