All branches of The Buffalo and Erie County Public Library are currently closed due to the cornonavirus pandemic and director Mary Jean Jakubowski isn't sure when they will be able to reopen.
Jakubowski said the public can still take advantage of many library services online.
"We have programs for kids. We have programs for adults," Jakubowski said. "We most certainly have our downloadable books and audio."
Jakubowski also mentioned that late fees on materials checked out of the library on or after Feb. 11 are suspended until at least June 1. Books and other materials can still be returned using the drop boxes availabe at many branches.
Jakubowski said WiFi signals extends beyond the library walls and people in need can take advantage of that, but they should recognize social distancing while doing so.
