An elderly woman in the Town of Oakfield has apparently died looking for her dog.
The Genesee County Sheriff's Department said they originally received a missing-person report shortly before 11 p.m. for Patricia Seguin, 72, of Maltby Road.
After a search of the immediate area, deputies found Seguin in a small pond near her home. They say she may have stumbled into the pond and drown.
The investigation is continuing.
