Audubon report highlights bird species at risk

Karen DeWitt

The Audubon Society is out with a study that shows two thirds of the species of birds in North America are at risk of extinction, with as little as a warm up of 3 degrees centigrade or around 5 degrees Fahrenheit. Karen DeWitt went to find someone from the group to talk to, and some birds.

Karen DeWitt is Capitol Bureau Chief for New York State Public Radio, a network of 10 public radio stations in New York State. WBFO listeners are accustomed to hearing DeWitt’s insightful coverage throughout the day, including expanded reports on Morning Edition.
