A Lancaster Central School District elementary principal was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. New York State Police in Clarence arrested Amy Moeller, 40, of Amherst last Thursday. Moeller is the principal at Hillview Elementary. Details of the arrest were issued in a news release by State Police.
It states on Feb. 14, "troopers observed a vehicle traveling north on Transit Road, Clarence, without tail lights or head lights on. The vehicle was stopped and the driver, Amy Moeller, 40, of Amherst failed field sobriety tests. Moeller was arrested and provided a breath sample of .13 percent BAC. She was charged with DWI and released with a return court date in Clarence."
The Lancaster School District has not issued a statement on the matter at this point.
