Day care closures serve as a warning for parents

Accusations of the use of corporal punishment are among the troubling issues connected with some day care  center closures in the region. Amanda Kelkenberg, CEO of the Child Care Resource Network, says parents need to scrutinize day care providers before entrusting them with the care of their child. An open door policy, Kelkenberg asserts, should be the first item parents seek when researching day care providers.

Outside of public media, he continues in longstanding roles as the public address announcer for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League and as play-by-play voice of Canisius College basketball.
