Sheriff Timothy Howard received the support of thousands of Western New Yorkers today. Howard is running for re-election, and a number of unions have lined up behind the incumbent. Local law enforcement organizations joined local chapters of the UAW, CSEA, the Teamsters, Ironworkers in endorsing him.
Howard, a Republican, is facing a challenge from Democrat Bernie Tolbert.
Howard has held the office since 2005.
