The Erie County Sheriff's Department is asking visitors to the Broadway Market today to bring a food or cash donation to benefit the less fortunate.
Members of the Mounted Reserve Unit will be outside the front entrance of the Market today from 10 AM to 1 PM. Public Information Officer Scott Zylka says having the food drive today has a special meaning for one of the deputies.
Food items sought include turkeys or hams, canned goods, pasta and rice, and baby formula. Proceeds will benefit the Food Bank of Western New York and the Response to Love Center in Buffalo.
