Thursday's horrific crash along Route 16 in Sardinia has turned deadly. WIVB news is reporting that the four-year-old boy involved in the accident has died. Emergency crews were called to the scene when a pick-up truck collided with the tail end of an 18-wheeler. The boy's father, the driver of the pick-up, remains in a coma.
The man's 7-year-old niece is recovering from her injuries.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
