Bills Coach Rex Ryan has stepped up to help the SPCA serving Erie County -- and he's not the only one at training camp getting into the act.
"As you guys know I was challenged for the Dog Biscuit Challenge," noted Ryan.
Ryan took a break from camp to respond to the challenge, a fundraiser for the SPCA serving Erie County.
Ryan says he's more than happy to help, noting he has two dogs and his wife has two cats at home.
"So here we go," said Ryan as he grabbed a box of dog treats. "I have no idea on the flavor." After popping one into his mouth, Ryan commented, "Oh, that's terrific. I'm going to get one more, I think. That's outstanding." After a few more seconds, the crowd laughed as Ryan choked it down, saying it was "a little dry."
Ryan went on to challenge Sydney Pegula. In case you don't know, Sydney's a dog.
Ryan then asked Sydney who was next and told the crowd, "So Sydney is going to challenge Terry Pegula and he is the biggest animal lover I've ever met. I don't know boss, that wasn't me, cause I like my job."
And, with that, Bills Owner Terry Pegula popped a dog treat into his mouth and issued his own challenge to Bills Defensive Tackle Marcell Dareus.
The idea behind the fundraiser is to either donate to the SPCA serving Erie County or eat a dog biscuit, or do both. Once you've completed the challenge, you can challenge someone else to do the same.
