Earlier this month 85 business leaders from across New York State put their collective support behind Governor Cuomo's effort to raise the minimum wage. Now, 86 faith-based leaders in the state are lending their support for the "Fight for Fair Pay" campaign. Cuomo's proposal would raise the wage from $8.75 per hour to $10.50 statewide and to $11.50 per hour in New York City. The Governor states that the the wage boost would benefit more than one million workers in the state, providing them, in his words, "a path out of poverty."

"These pastors are leaders in their communities, and I am proud to have their support as we work together to combat poverty and make a difference for...New Yorkers."
