Two separate house fires claimed the lives of two western New Yorkers Monday morning. There's word an elderly woman has perished in a house fire in West Seneca. Reports indicate the blaze broke out at a 67 Dirkson Avenue home and spread to a neighboring house.
As many as ten fire companies were called to the scene. That blaze started around 6:25 a.m.
Hours later a second fire broke out at 146 Weyand Avenue in South Buffalo.
Buffalo Firefighters responded to the blaze after 9 a.m. According to reports from the scene, the body an elderly man was discovered inside the first floor.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation. Damage is estimated at $100,000.
