Lloyd Taco Truck brings home the cash on CNBC reality show

Lloyd Taco Trucks made all the right moves on last night's episode of the CNBC reality series "Restaurant Startup"

"The one that's going to make us probably the most money, the one that we thought probably has the best opportunity down the road.... is going to be Lloyd Taco," said Restaurant Startup Host Tim Love when announcing Buffalo's own Lloyd Taco Trucks as the winner of last night's episode.

The announcement came after Lloyd owners Peter Cimino and Chris Dorsaneo made a pitch that included setting up a make shift restaurant to sell their idea, arguing Lloyd has national brand potential.

The pair was able to negotiate a deal that earned them a quarter-million-dollars in exchange for 25-percent of their business.

Host Tim Love says Lloyd reinvents the taco and makes it fun, noting Lloyd has character and branding that goes beyond the food and creates a buzz that gets people talking.

Love also notes though it's difficult to go from a food truck to a restaurant.

"You open up a brick and mortar, it's all about the atmosphere, the service, the sounds that you hear, the lights, the way it feels when you walk in.... it all changes."

The final credits on the show indicated Lloyd's new place is expected to open in early April.
