New York's senior Senator, Charles Schumer, made a stop in Buffalo Friday, four days before voters head to the polls. Schumer, a Brooklyn Democrat, said it's an important election for the party statewide and in Washington. And he's concerned about losing control of the U.S. Senate to Republicans.
"One thing that's really discouraging is the Supreme Court would end up being much more conservative. And that's really bad in terms of money cascading into politics. In terms of voting rights. In terms of so many different issues," Schumer said.
During his visit, Schumer endorsed Marc Panepinto, in the 60th State Senate District race. Whoever wins the seat could help change the balance of power in Albany.
