The "World's Largest Business Idea" competition is set to announce 11 finalists next Thursday here in Buffalo.
43 North has so far narrowed the list from 6,932 applications from around the globe to 2,603 qualified submissions and then 113 semifinalists.
The 11 finalists will be revealed next Thursday morning at Larkin Square.
In a news release, 43 North notes it "has garnered substantial interest from startups around the world due to its sizable financial prize packages, which include a top cash award of $1-million, along with six $500,ooo prizes and four $250,000 prizes. Winners are also set to receive free incubator space for one year in Buffalo, New York, and guidance from mentors related to their field."
