Another massive building may be coming to downtown Buffalo, this time along the Chippewa Strip. Uniland Development filed papers with the Buffalo Planning Board Wednesday that outline plans for a 12-story, 515,000 square-foot structure that would occupy the Northwest corner of Chippewa Street and Delaware Avenue.
The project would add another 120 hotel rooms to the growing downtown hospitality market, retail space, and 190,000 square feet of office space. A 520-space parking ramp is also planned.
Uniland purchased the property last year at a cost of $3 million. The site is currently occupied by Delaware Court, a two-story curved structure that dates to 1917.
