Authorities say two people were killed and a third injured in a three-vehicle crash on a rural Niagara County road. The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says a pickup truck rear-ended a car shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Town of Wilson.
Deputies say the truck traveled another 400 feet before hitting a car traveling in the opposite direction. They say 58-year-old Cathy World of Wilson, who was in the car that was rear-ended and overturned, was pronounced dead at a hospital. The 69-year-old driver of the second car, Ronald Zauner of Wilson, died at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, 58-year-old Frederick Lederhouse of Ransomville, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No charges have been filed.
