A 3-year-old boy was who was pulled out of his burning Buffalo home last Friday has died. The Buffalo News reports Malachi Norman lost his life over the weekend. His mother, 23-year-old Lequeisha Watkins, also died in the fire, trying to save her son.

Buffalo firefighters pulled the mother and child from their home at 174 Timon Street early Friday morning.  Watkins died Friday afternoon at ECMC. Her fiance and another young child escaped the blaze.

Malachi Norman was in critical condition at Women and Children's Hospital. He was kept alive over the weekend to allow for organ donations.
