The University at Buffalo Police are investigating a report that a man pulled out what appeared to be a handgun in the Clark Hall gym following a dispute over a pick-up basketball game Monday. UB police say the suspect was last seen exiting the east side of Clark Hall and is believed to have left the campus.

"Police are investigating and are still searching for the alleged individual," said Joseph Brennan, UB Communications director.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a green-and-black hooded sweatshirt, gray shorts and black-and-white sneakers.

"Police believe he left the campus shortly after the incident and police are currently working  with Buffalo Police Department to try and locate this individual," said Brennan.  "We believe the suspect was a member of the community, not a student.  There's no continued threat to the campus community."

No one was injured during this incident and police say it appears to be an isolated dispute between the individuals involved and it is not believed to present a continued threat to the University community.
