Fire struck a longstanding business in the Elmwood Village overnight Friday. Firefighters responded to a blaze at Louie's Hot Dogs at the corner of Hodge and Elmwood Avenues just after midnight. Early reports indicate that a vent caught fire and the flames quickly spread. The blaze was brought under control without any reported injuries. Damage is estimated at $200,000.
Fire officials are continuing to investigate the cause of the blaze.
