Cuomo could revisit IDA reforms

Governor Andrew Cuomo is expressing a willingness to tweak his reforms to the tax breaks awarded through the state's Industrial Development Agencies. Municipalities, like Buffalo, argued that the cuts to the investment incentives would limit the revitalization projects that cities rely upon. The Cuomo administration appears willing to adjust the reforms to continue promoting projects that revitalize depressed areas.

State IDA funding has helped local renovation projects such as the Hotel at the Lafayette.
