Tops Markets is extending its reach in New York State.
The supermarket chain has announced that it is purchasing three Big M supermarkets in Central and Northern New York. Two of the stores are in the Syracuse area and the third is in Mexico, New York. Employment levels at the stores are planned to remain consistent after the sale.
The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
