For the second time, a home has exploded. This time it happened in Corning, New York.
According to the Associated Press, an explosion and fire have destroyed a home in New York's Finger Lakes region, but there are no reports yet of any injuries.
Steuben County Emergency Services Acting Director James Marshall says it isn't clear if the fire or explosion happened first at the house near Corning's downtown. It was reported just after 11 a.m.
City police and fire officials say crews are still on the scene and no other information is initially available.
Corning is 76 miles south of Rochester.
WETM-TV in Corning, New York reports the explosion occurred at 48-Wilson Street in the city of Corning.
Ironically a home explosion occurred a week ago in Niagara County in the town of Wilson, NY. The blast killed 14-year-old Sarah Johnson. Her sister remains at ECMC recovering from sever burns. The home was leveled by a propane leak.
