Dish Network is finding itself in the midst of legal actions.
A number of major broadcasting companies have filed suit against the firm due to its service called AutoHop that is offered to customers. AutoHop allows viewers to record television programs while eliminating the commercials. Commercial networks are working to protect the many billions of dollars in revenue they receive annually from advertisers.
Dish Network introduced AutoHop this month and has filed a countersuit claiming that the service is not illegal.
