Buffalo Police are investigating an attempted kidnapping of a 12-year-old student that occurred Monday afternoon. Police say the incident happened at Macamley Street and Durant Street in South Buffalo about 2:30 p.m. They say a boy had just gotten off the school bus when the suspect tried to grab him and drag him into his vehicle.
The vehicle is described as a white van with a dent on the front right side. The suspect is described as a white male, 5'10", medium build, short blonde hair, short goatee and with a scar on his right forearm. Police say he was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and a striped jacket.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
