The body of a dismembered woman was found Tuesday night in a house in Niagara Falls. The grisly discovery was made around 10:30 p.m. at a vacant home at 1129 Willow Avenue after a 911 call from a neighbor who reported a foul odor. The head, arms, and feet were removed from the deceased woman.
Niagara Falls Police say they believe they know the identity of the victim, but her name has not been released. They say they believe the woman's body was placed in the home, perhaps as long as a week ago. The body parts were not found inside the home.
The investigation continues. Police say the case shares similarities with the unsolved 2012 death of Loretta Gates, whose remains were found in various locations.
UPDATE: Niagara Falls Police have identified the victim as Terri Lynn Bills, 46, a Niagara Falls resident.
