Buffalo Police responded to an apparent murder-suicide in broad daylight on College Street in the city's Allentown neighborhood Tuesday morning.Buffalo Police responded to a domestic call on College Street around 7:40 a.m. Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda says two victims were found in the street in front of 49 College.
Derenda says it appears to be a murder-suicide.
"The couple, in their mid-40s, are believed to be married. They have an extensive history of domestic violence from two other states, Florida and Tennessee. It appears they moved up here a short time ago," Derenda said at a late morning news conference.
Derenda says police responded to a domestic call at 45 College Street on Monday night. But he says the suspect was gone when officers arrived.
"He apparently returned this morning. After, apparently, the female told him she was going back to Florida, we believe he killed her then killed himself," Derenda said.
The names of the deceased have not been released pending notification of relatives.
