You don’t have to be an expert on World War II or the Holocaust to enjoy a one man play which opens tonight at 710 Main Theater. WISENTHAL is suitable for ages 12+. The play runs 90 minutes without intermission. WBFO Theater Talk co-host Peter Hall spoke with the playwright.
710 Main Theatre presents WIESENTHAL, written by and starring Tom Dugan. Filled with hope, humanity and humor, Wiesenthal is the true story of Simon Wiesenthal. Nicknamed the “Jewish James Bond,” he devoted his life to bringing more than 1,100 Nazi war criminals to justice. No a lecture, not a history lesson, this is a play, "an entertainment" according to Tom Dugan, which gives equal weight to his with and wisdom during his life. "Wiesenthal did not look to the past," says Dugan," he looked to the future." In that spirit, this play is suitable for anyone 12 years of age and up.
Opening night is Thursday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the 710 Main Theatre with subsequent performances Friday at 8 p. m., Saturday at 2 & 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. & 7 p.m. For information, call 847-0850.
