With all the cold, wintry weather we've been experiencing, the thought of springtime flowers in bloom seems far off, but not for organizers of the first ever Buffalo Cherry Blossom Festival. WBFO's Eileen Buckley talked with the chairperson of the event, Trudy Stern, who is working with Japanese community members. Stern says the 12-day event will be centered in Delaware Park's Japanese Garden and other city locations.
The Buffalo Cherry Blossom Festival will be held April 23 through Sunday, May 4, 2014.
