Theater Talk: Two new theater groups premiere

Two new theater companies are opening in Buffalo. This week on Theater Talk, Anthony Chase discusses the companies and show openings.

The Raices Theatre Company is opening with “La Gringa” at the Market Arcade. The play is written by New York City native Carmen Rivera. Raíces Theatre Company is working residence at Road Less Traveled Theater.

"Raíces Theatre Company is dedicated to develop, nourish and produce modern and original plays and musicals written by Latino Playwrights and dealing with the Latino experience."

The Buffalo Public Theatre also premiers. The company is working in association with Ujima Company, Inc.  It is opening with The Wizard of Oz at TheaterLoft.

Co-founders of the new theater are Kelli Bocock-Natale and Loraine O’Donnell
