Remembering Brubeck in Buffalo

Photo provided by Al Wallack

Today would have marked the 92nd birthday of pioneering jazz composer and pianist Dave Brubeck.  Brubeck died Wednesday of heart failure after being stricken while on his way to a cardiology appointment.  Buffalo is remembering Brubeck, who toured our region through the years.  Former WEBR Jazz in the Night Time host Al Wallack had several opportunities to introduce and speak with Brubeck.

Wallack introduced Brubeck at the Tralf performance in Buffalo.  Then in 1985 Wallack interviewed Brubeck prior to a his concert at the Chautauqua Institution.
