The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory for Erie and Niagara counties until midnight Friday.
Heavy pea soup fog rolled into downtown Buffalo late Friday afternoon. Visibility is down to one-quarter mile or less in some spots. Visibility is greatly reduced along the Lake Erie shoreline and parts of the I-90.
The heaviest fog is reported in the city of Buffalo.
