A High Wind Warning remains in effect for Western New York until 10 Saturday night. Strongest winds expected through Saturday afternoon, gradually diminishing by the evening.
As a cold front moves in winds of 30 to 40 miles an hour are occurring with gusts up to 65 miles an hour.

More than 5,000 homes and businesses lost power Saturday morning in Niagara County, the Town of Lockport, Cambria and Lewiston.
In Erie County about 350 residents in the Village of Lancaster and Cheektowaga were without power. And in Chautauqua County about 300- were without service Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service says the highes wind toped 63-miles an hour at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport at 7:30 Saturday morning.
At the Niagara Falls International Airport, the top wind was clocked at 69 miles an hour around 4 a.m.
The winds continue to whip up Lake Erie levels. The National Weather Service in Buffalo has canceled a Lakeshore Flood warning. But a Lakeshore Flood Advisory is in effect until 7'o'clock Saturday evening for the Lake Erie Shore of Erie and Chautauqua Counties.
Strong winds will continue to cause lake levels to fluctuate Saturday. The water level will continue to oscillate between four to seven feet.
High water levels and very large winds may produce splash over especially along the harbors and creeks flowing into Lake Erie and portions of Route 5 in Athol Springs.
