An 11-year-old boy was struck and killed by a car Wednesday afternoon on North Main Street in Jamestown.
Jamestown Police say the accident happened around 4 o'clock when the boy suddenly stepped on to the street from between two parked cars.
Several people witness the accident. Police say speed was not a factor and so far the driver, whose name was not released, has not been charged.
Police have released the child's name. He was Quinn Ortiz. Ortiz was transported to WCA Hospital where he died of his injuries.
