A University at Buffalo professor of neurology suggests that YouTube and other social media sites may play a role in the Le Roy High School students who have been diagnosed with psychogenic movement disorder or conversion disorder.

WBFO'S Jim Pastrick spoke with Dr. David Lichter who examined one of the Le Roy students suffering from the Tourette-like symptoms.

The National Institute of Health and Dent Neurologic Institute have concluded the disorder is conversion disorder brought on by stress.  However, some school parents and residents fear environmental factors, specifically a railroad chemical spill in the 70's  as a possible link to the tick-disorder.  They are demanding that further environmental testing be conducted.
