Buffalo Police make arrest in parking ramp accident

Buffalo Police have arrested an 18-year-old man for allegedly running down three people in a downtown parking ramp early Christmas Eve morning.

Richard Booze, Jr., has been charged with multiple counts of assault, reckless endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident without reporting it.

At 1:30 a.m. Christmas Eve two women and one man were struck by a car in the Augsburger Ramp on Pearl Street.

Booze is accused of intentionally driving his Chevy Cobalt into the three victims and causing injuries.

Police released surveillance photos taking from inside the parking ramp.

Accident Investigator Martin Forero was the arresting officer. He was assisted by other members of the Accident Investigation Unit and the Erie County District Attorney's office.
