Buffalo Police are on the hunt for a man that has been approaching young boys while he rides on a bike. The child predator is now linked to three separate incidents in the city.
Buffalo Police Chief of Detectives Dennis Richards told reporters the most recent incident happened Wednesday near Erb Street and East Delavan on the City's far East Side.
"The Buffalo Police Department Juvenile Sex-Offense Section is continuing to investigate suspicious activity in which an unknown male is enticing young male victims with an offer to make money. The suspect lures the victims into posing for pictures and then he takes them to an isolated area," said Richards.
So far the victims were two 8-year-old boys and an 11-year-old boy. The first two incidents occurred October 3rd and November 1st. One on Echols Lane in the Clinton-Jefferson Avenue area and the other in the Kensington-Suffolk neighborhood.
"The pattern includes a black male, believed to be in his forties, with a scruffy appearance. He is about six feet tall and thin in build, and he is described as riding a bicycle consistently in each of these events. The bike is described as either silver and red in color or silver and purple in color - perhaps an older bike," said Richards
Detective Richards noted one of the incidents occurred inside a complex, the two others happened outdoors.
Police have increased patrols in and around a number of Buffalo schools, but would not say which schools. Buffalo Police are urging citizens to contact them with any information.
