Kenmore, NY – A big surprised arrived Tuesday morning for a school teacher in Kenmore. Buffalo Bills safety George Wilson delivered $1,000 in school supplies to a fifth grade teacher at Roosevelt Elementary.

Linda Scott was selected in Office Max's nationwide effort to recognize outstanding teachers. The school supplies included notebooks, paper and pencils. All the supplies will benefit the entire fifth grade class.

The Bills safety also spoke to the students about how he was bullied as a kid. Wilson said the key to success is to treat those around you with respect.

"It does get better and you have to just take it one day at a time. You mature, you grow, you go on to do things in life. Don't take try to take that problem on by yourself. You have your parents, your teachers, your school administrators, who can help you out when going through those difficult times," said Wilson

Fifth grade teacher Linda Scott said the message from Wilson will be something students will remember forever, and having a stock of supplies will really help.

"This was a complete surprise to me, you know it's nice to be recognized by your peers for hard work. I was a student here at Roosevelt, so I went to school here and I take a lot pride in it. I take a lot of pride in our students, and I know the kids were excited when we had the printer come out and other files. I'm excited about pencils and paper, because we always run out of those things," said Scott

George Wilson said his message to students was not to take problems on by themselves. He said there are many people to ask for help.
