Tonawanda, NY – Some music students in the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda Union Free School District will have a special opportunity to learn and play from some big name musicians.
There will be clinics held by one of the original members of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
Ken-Ton electric string students will soon have a chance to take a clinic with Mark Wood -- who specializes in electric string, like the violin and cello.
The District's orchestra director, Gail Bauser, from Franklin Middle School and Kenmore East HIgh School, has worked to bring Wood to their School District. Gail Bauser, Orchestra.
Kenmore East High School Band director Phil Aguglia said Wood will be spending nine hours with the students during workshops October 28th.
It's Wood's second visit to the high school. Aguglia noted that this opportunity really revs up students to excel in their music.
And there's more, the United States Army Field Band visits Kenmore East High School Oct. 26th They will also host a music clinic for students then will perform a free concert.
